The easiest way to learn about Islam is through the traditions, the Hadith, of Mohammed.

Description

The Hadith: The Traditions of Mohammed

The easiest way to learn about Islam is through the traditions of Mohammed called the Hadith.

The Koran repeatedly commands every Muslim to follow the perfect example of Mohammed’s life, his words, and deeds, referred to as the Sunna. The Sunna includes the Hadith (Mohammed’s traditions) and the Sira (Mohammed’s biography).

Since there is not enough information in the Koran for Muslims to practice Islam and understand the doctrine, the easiest way to learn about it is from Mohammed’s traditions. The Hadith gives us fascinating and detailed accounts of his life. We know what Mohammed looked like, his sense of humor, his superstitions, and how he ate. Details about his sex life, family life, and leadership are all recorded.

These Hadith contain all the information that is needed to follow the example of Mohammed as a father, a political ruler, a warrior, and the perfect husband.

THE HADITH: THE TRADITIONS OF MOHAMMED is a condensed version of the Islamic Hadith collections, providing the reader with a taste of Islam. It is concise and authoritative. The reference system allows you to confirm and verify all information with the original source texts.

Can’t tell if this is overly biased. Is there an authorized Hadith collection?

Easy reading–informative. Every person who values Western Civilization should familiarize themselves with the tenets of Islam, and this work certainly contribute to that end.

Great but missing some needed info.
By John on October 5, 2014

I’ve read several of these so far and many of Mohamed’s followers are mentioned. It would be very helpful to have some type of family tree. At the very least mention who these people are.

It was interesting but only did a slight overview, I would like to get a more in-depth version that is more detailed.

  8. David Delfini

Thought provoking and disconcerting. But obviously biased.
By David Delfini on September 7, 2014

I am mixed about this book. It’s good and easy to read. Certainly opens your eyes. Makes you wonder how such a religion came to be. Surely a religion cannot be that violent? One cannot develop an opinion on Islam based on this book. It does appear to have an anti-Islam agenda. But an interesting and thought provoking non-historical introduction, that’s for sure.

A somewhat short but helpful look at the real teachings of an ancient religious system. A must-read, in light of current events.

    Informative.

Bill Warner does an excellent job summarizing the Hadith. Along with reference numbers to the complete work. It is also described under headings such as: women. Animals. Art. And so on.

The Hadith 101 – the Fast Understandable Version
By PatnCat “Patricia” on March 11, 2014

As a reader and writer of non-fiction, I can appreciate these concise booklets to convey accurate information for anyone wanting the short version – short – but highly effective. I highly recommend this series, to include “A Two-Hour Koran”, “Sharia Law for Non-Muslims, “The Islamic Doctrine for Women, ” The Islamic Doctrine of Christian and Jews”. I have several translations of the Koran I borrowed for the local library, so nothing is stated that isn’t backed up by source citation. If you enjoy freedom – of speech and religion to begin with – you need to begin reading Mr. Warner’s series.

very good condition arrived on time very interesting i thought it would have been longer, I did not realize they were so much anti-women things in print it must be an embarrassment to Islam

    Islam
By Martha Teklu “Golden Treasure” on November 20, 2013

This is a series of books by Bill Warmer clarifying the teachings of Islam to non-believers and it is an opener. Before reading the book, I did not understand why Muslims tend to be jihadist, why they believe on certain laws, etc. and the book was able to explain to me where the Muslims got their sources.

  19. Docger

    Brief Hadath
By Docger on April 28, 2013

Brief. Choices are selective. It is more of an outline than a book to read to understand the concepts and the background.

  20. Lynn Janicki

The Haddith, More like cliff notes of Haddith
By Lynn Janicki on October 21, 2012

This “Hadith” is more like a pamphlet and is 70 pages, and reads more like a personal commentary on bits and pieces of the book. If that is what you are seeking, then this is your book. I was needing the actual book. I wanted to have one to read for myself. I wish the Title were different. The title is; “The Hadith The Sunna of Mohammed”. Maybe it should read something like “Mike Warner’s Commentary on Abridged Hadith”, or at least a better description.

  21. THE LAST PROPHET

HE REAL EXPLANATION ABOUT THE HADITHS
By THE LAST PROPHET on October 1, 2012

This small and concise book is one of the best that I have already read because it explains many hadiths without trying to hide the truth.

  22. Byron Fitzgerald

    The Haddith for the Novice
By Byron Fitzgerald on August 16, 2012

I found this book to be extremely beneficial in helping to understand the Muslim code of daily living. The Koran is difficult to get your hands around and because it is not organized according to the sequence in which it was written, it is very confusing and seemingly contradictory. This book on the Hadith strips away the confusion and makes the different rules for living daily life very clear. It is a good read for anyone interested in understanding our Muslim neighbors.

  23. P.R

primer for the study of Islam
    By P.R on August 16, 2011

This short and sweet book is a highly welcome addition to the study of political Islam because,it has brought out the outline of the Hadith in a capsule.People who have no time for books can breeze through this tiny book in one sitting.Importantly it informs and entertains. No,no,the author does not interpose his views, but has made an excellent selection from the body of the Hadith to enthuse the reader. The book would whet the interest for political Islam even in those readers who are not particularly interested in this subject.Hilarious.Just pick it and start reading.
