Now that Sharia law is getting more attention, Islam is rolling out its defenses to defuse and confuse the thinking and the not-so-thinking public. If you are a watcher or connoisseur of Islamic politics, it is fascinating to see how similar the different arguments are. Read one apologist for Islam and you have read all of the apologists.
Argument 1:
• Sharia is not static; it changes and evolves.
This promises the hope of reformation over time if Islam becomes more moderate. Islam is the doctrine found in the Koran and the Sunna of Mohammed. Mohammed is the perfect Muslim and his every act and word is to be imitated by all Muslims. The Sunna of Mohammed is found in the Hadith (his traditions) and the Sira (his actions). The complete Islamic doctrine is Allah and Mohammed, or Koran, Sira and Hadith.
Sharia is the interpretation of the doctrine of Islam. Of course, the interpretations change, but they keep being drawn from the same 1400 year old texts. The Sharia circles the sun of Allah and Mohammed, so the evolution of Sharia turns out to be an orbit. The Sharia becomes looser and tighter over the course of history, but it is still the same Sharia and still obeys all of the fundamentals found in the texts of Koran, Sira and Hadith.
One of the biggest fundamental principles of Islam is the Kafir, the non-Muslim. No matter how the Sharia changes, Kafirs are still the same Allah-cursed creature that Mohammed annihilated whenever possible. No amount of adaptation can change the cruel place that the Kafir has in Islam and the Sharia.
Argument 2:
• There is no one thing called Sharia. There is no official document called the Sharia.
See the above. Since Sharia is the practical application of interpretation of the doctrine of Islam found in the Koran, Sira and Hadith, there will be different schools of thought on issues. But the principles never change. All of the versions of the Sharia subjugate and demean the Kafir.
Argument 3:
• Sharia is overwhelming about religion and is not in conflict with national laws.
It is true that a standard table-top book of Sharia such as The Reliance of the Traveller starts off with a large section devoted to religious material, such as prayer and the charity tax. But after the religious beginning, the Sharia winds up with definition of crimes, punishment, business law, family law and the usual legal matters.
There is no problem with the so-called religious Sharia, but a there is a problem with the political Sharia that deals with the Kafir. The political Sharia is evil, since it oppresses the Kafir. Jihad is part of the Sharia and jihad against the Kafir is evil.
The Kafir cares that “only” 1% of a Sharia text is devoted to jihad; that is not acceptable. When it comes to oppression and cruel treatment of Kafirs, any amount of evil is intolerable.
The number of pages in a Sharia text devoted to jihad may be small, but it cannot be removed. Sharia is the interpretation of the perfect Koran and the eternal Sunna and since jihad is a major doctrine it cannot be removed from the Sharia. Sharia can not be reformed.
The Sharia not only has disgusting doctrines such as Kafir and jihad, but also polygamy and wife-beating. It does not matter that Mohammed and Allah are good with polygamy and beating the wife; it has no place in our civilization.
There is no amount of Sharia that is defensible if it makes any political impact on our citizens and nation. Keep praying those Muslim prayers and washing those Muslim feet, but keep every single aspect of political Sharia out of our civilization.

Sara,
Muslims are not the issue. Muslims do not make Islam but Islam makes Muslims. Every single Muslim I’ve met is a good citizen and strives to be like Mohammed so he is the only Muslim that matters. Mohammed is the epitome of what every Muslim strives for and he and he alone should be the Muslim that is discussed.
If I may I would recommend that you read Mohammed’s words for yourself. Do not take anything that is posted here at face value. Go read the Qur’an, Sira, Hadith, and Sharia. Read those for yourself. Do not let what anyone here or what any college professor said about Islam be the final word. Read about Islam for yourself.
Also don’t be like me and assume that the verses your professor gave you were the same as having read the Qur’an. I was amazed that the only thing discussed in class was the Qur’an yet there are the other books which are just as authoritative yet weren’t discussed.
Islam is a beautiful religion and political force but not if you’re a Kafir, which you and I are.

Having read the Quran and after seeing enough examples of the arrogant attitudes of Muslims towards non-Muslims I can tell you this is article is correct. Try reading the Reliance of the Traveller. It is the book that Muslims consult on all matters relating to Shariah Law and its application. You will be surprised at what your college professors DIDN”T tell you.

Uhh…CLEARLY the author of this article and those of the comments have never dealt with Muslims face-to-face. Because all I’m reading is complete idiocy. Please, I beg of you, go to college and take an intro to Islam class taught by a religious studies professor (even one who isn’t Muslim, there are plenty of them) and they can tell that this is all a load of garbage.

There are two types of kafirs: 1) those who have read the Islamic trilogy (Sira, Hadiths and Koran) and understand this supremacist political system (such kafirs oppose Islam), 2) those who have not read the Islamic trilogy, but consider themselves experts after listening to mullahs who quote only verses from the conciliatory Meccan Koran (such kafirs consider reading about Islam or studying it unnecessary).
Political Islam is a series of about 3 dozen ‘veils’ (or false fronts) each concealing an unpleasant or adverse teaching that removes the civil liberties and human rights of women and ‘others’.
The second group of kafirs do not believe they need to look under Islams ‘veils’.

Muhammad, founder of Islam and author of Koran, was mentally sick psychopath and pedophile, could not read and write. While in seizure, he uttered disjointed phrases, which his followers represented as Allah divine afflatus. In his Cairo speech, Obama accredited to arabs all fundamental inventions human race made over centuries. None of the Obama mentioned is true, as every person graduated from credible high school knows. However, it does not mean that arabs, great nation with centuries of history, has no inventions critical for human life. They have and here they are:
1. Ethnic Cleansing – invented centuries ago, implemented over 2000 years ago in Israel when they occupied Israel and disseminated Jews around the world; from 1948 through 1953 arab countries expelled a million Jews and stole their properties; in 1974, Turkish armed forces invaded Cyprus, captured 36 percent of its territory, partitioned the island, implemented a policy of “ethnic cleansing” and sent close to 200,000 Greek Cypriots southward as refugees who lost their property, desecrated churches and cemeteries, and in 1983 declared the northern Turkish Republic of Cyprus; in 1999, Kosovo Liberation Army stormed homes of the last 15 Jews in Kosovo’s capital, who had to clear out, with just the clothes on their backs; recently, Jews in Yemen were under attack and have been relocated to Britain.
2. Genocide – invented by Turks and implemented in 1915-1917 in Armenia: over 1.5 mln. Armenians, including children, died.
3. Holocaust – invented by Haj Amin al Husseini, the Mufti of Jerusalem, in 1920s in Palestine (occupied territory of the State of Israel); implemented in Palestine in 1920s-30s; in 1941, Haj Amin al Husseini brought the Holocaust idea to Hitler and helped him to implement Holocaust in Europe 1941-45; he organized in Europe two islamofascist brigades that operated under SS control, had their own concentration camp, and killed tens of thousand of Europeans, including Jews.
Islam is based on three fundamental principles:
1. Stealing
2. Killing, and
3. Lying
Koran says:
“Slay them wherever you find them. Fight against them till idolatry is no more and God’s religion reigns supreme” (Sura 2:190),
“Seek out your enemies relentlessly” (Sura 4:103),
“Make war on them till idolatry shall cease and God’s religion shall reign supreme” (Sura 8:36),
“When the sacred months are over slay the unbelievers wherever you find them. Arrest them, beseige them and lie in ambush everywhere for them” (Sura 9:5),
“Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you” (Sura 9:121),
“When you meet the unbelievers on the battlefield strike off their heads” (Sura 47:3),
“Prophet, make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate” (Sura 66:7).
