Jewish groups have denounced a cartoon by a prize-winning political cartoonist as anti-Semitic. Pat Oliphant’s cartoon, published Wednesday, shows a headless figure chasing while pushing a large Star of David with fangs and pursuing a tiny woman carrying a child labeled “Gaza.” The syndicated cartoon appeared in newspapers around the world. The Simon Wiesenthal Center said in a statement: “The imagery in this cartoon mimics the venomous anti-Semitic propaganda of the Nazi and Soviet eras. It is cartoons like this that inspired millions of people to hate in the 1930s and help set the stage for the Nazi genocide.”

Ari Roth of the Washington DC Jewish Community Center made the decision to stage a reading of the anti-Semitic play “Seven Jewish Children: A Play for Gaza”. Originally produced in London, it describes how the Jewish parents discuss teaching their children about the Jewish state and the Gaza war. For example, one portion deals with living in Israel. The parent says: “Tell her, of course tell her, tell her everyone was driven out and the country is waiting for us to come home. Don’t tell her she doesn’t belong here.”

A swastika was painted on the door of a fraternity house at the University of Florida. Fraternity member Alex Mehler told the Gainsville Sun that the vandalism was “a blatant act of anti-Semitism” and said many members of the fraternity were “distraught.” He said the Florida AEPi chapter has been working on building the house for three years and plans to move into the facility at the beginning of the next school year.

In January, the synagogue was vandalized, religious objects desecrated, anti-Semitic statements were painted on the walls, and records with the names and addresses of local Jews were stolen.

During Operation Cast Lead, some Muslim organizers of pro-Palestinian demonstrations equated Israel’s actions with the Nazi Holocaust, and even carried banners that read “death to Jews.”

Please continue to inform the world about the truth, a truth which many newspapers and news programs are too cowardly to report upon. More than 10,000 acts of Islamic terror have occured in the world since the catastrophic events of 9/11.
The Koran and other Islamic teachings are very clear as to how Jews should be treated by Muslims. I have read the preface to 3 authors translations of the Koran and it is very clear–Islam means submission. This was stated by 3 separate Koran translating authors, 1 of whom was a devout Shite Muslim from Iran living in India and another by a woman of Iranian and American background who also was a self described Muslim. Peace is not the primary translation of the world Islam. Those of us who are not Muslim need to understand the full ramifications of a faith that demands submission to the God that the religion has deliniated, and that the submission will be achieved by force if needed.
Look at what is happening in states under Sharia law today, look at how the women and nonMuslims are treated. Look at what the leaders are saying. It is beyond refute that Islamists (Al Quaida) are totally responsible for the events of 9/11 and we all saw the Palestinians dancing and celebrating when the Twin Towers fell. Those Muslims who truly want peace and pleurality need to be making their voices heard throughout the democratic world.
